No fuel pressure?!?!

So I went to get my car dyno tuned monday, the car seemed to be just fine all day, started every time on the first time. Got to the shop and swapped my injectors out real quick, put in some SVO 36lbers.

The dyno was occupied at this time so my tunner did what he could do with out the dyno real fast, started the car just fine. Then I had to tighten down a header bolt, so I did that. Then when the dyno was done being used they started my car and put it up on the dyno.

Got the car all strapped down and ready to be tuned. My tunner went to start the car and nothing. After several consecutive tries the car still did not start. I got up on the dyno and started looking things over and noticed that there was no fuel pressure. Got a tester gauge out and went to see if the fuel pump was getting any power and it was not. From there I checked the fuel pump relay for power and it was getting power before the relay so we figured it was a bad relay. Changed it out with a brand new one that I went and bought and the car started for an instant and then shut off. Changed it that one out with another new one, and nothing. But while I was out getting this one my tunner and my buddy that was there with my tested the relay, my stock one, and it was good.

I have no clue what else it could be. Any ideas? Anyone ever hear of anything getting clogged in the fuel lines, or maybe the fuel filter, to stop the fuel from passing?

Oh yeah.... and my fuel level gauge is pegged past the full mark, more so than the norm.

Re: No fuel pressure?!?!

They probably pulled the connector out that goes up to the pump while strapping the car down. That happened to a car at our dyno day and the quick fix is to just plug it back in, you should be able to see it hanging there. If it's an above ground dyno you can probably do it without taking the car off.

Re: No fuel pressure?!?!

The car is in my driveway now... but I'll go look at that. Thanks, and hopefully that's it.

Re: No fuel pressure?!?!

Your problem is exactly what TQdriven said, the wires got pulled out but I doubt the connector came off. More than likely they pulled the wires out of the connector. Look infront of the rear axle on the driver side (outside the body behind the rear seat) it will be near the tank vent. The reason the fuel gage is pegged is because the sending unit for the fuel level is a higher resistance when the level is higher. When the wires got pulled out, the resistance went to infinity (open circuit). The gage reads that as completely full and then some.

There are 3 wires going to that connector. Purple, grey and black. If the wires came out of the connector, it will be the white one. Looking at the connector while it's plugged into the mating connector from left to right on the top row is black, purple and grey.
