No fire tried everything
Re: No fire tried everything
You checked for spark by grounding a spark plug. Did you do the same thing with the coil wire? Have you checked the coil wire for corrosion or damage?
Re: No fire tried everything
I had a msd, then i got one off ebay dont know the brand just a cheap one and i got one from chandler motorsports.
I put in another icm incase i got a bad one and still nothing. Im going to try the same with a coil.
If the coil does not work im going to get an opti from a guy who had it running on his car recently.

The ICM is basically an interpreter for the pcm, it takes the signals and then amplifies them. If the other wires are checking good then your problem is from the ICM to the coil.
The white wire in the icm connector is the wire that should have AC Voltage on it @5 volts to ground while car is cranking. If you hook another opti up to just the harness you can then spin it by hand, you will hear the injector fire and you should see voltage AC on that white wire. That is the wire responsible for spark in the coil. If no voltage is present there, it is not getting the signal from the PCM. The voltage will toggle from 0-5 volts as the EST driver engages.
