No cat sound difference

I just got my car back after having heads, cam, headers, intake, etc. installed. The cam is a Comp XE 230/236-112, The headers are SLP shorties for single cat cars. Right now, I just have a straight pipe in place of the cat. After that, I have a Hooker cat back. The problem is that it's too loud for me. I'd say it's "arrest me" loud, but some might say it's just the way they like it.

Does anyone know how much quieter it would be if I put a 3" hi-flow cat in?

From the 5 days I've driven my "new" car with the Random Tech hi-flow cat, I'm going to say no, it will not make it much if any quieter. My Borla cat-back is a lot LOUDER than it was with the oem cat.
