I have a 1994 z28 6-speed.The problem im having is i cant downshift from 6th to 5th anymore,but i can up shift from 5th to 6th.I dont have any problems downshifting into any other gears.would a bad syncronizer cause this problem?The problem started yesterday when i went to pass a car and accidently shifted from 5th to 2nd instead of 5th to 4th.

 

That would be a bad synchro.

Let me guess, you can upshift into 5th fine, and on to 6th fine, but if you downshift into 5th, you can't. You downshift into 4th and then upshift into 5th???
