Question NGK recommendation

NGK recommended the TR6IX for my setup no juice/blower just n/a on built top end. Around 12.3:1 static compression. I think one colder and close the gap about .005 should fit the setup or atleast be a good start. What do you think?
I heard raising the comp calls for colder tighter gaps but I dont know of anyone that has done it

NO plans for spray soon either Thanks for your comments

Re: NGK recommendation

Any comments suggestions? Does this seem right to go 1 colder with my setup? And should I tighten the gap.005 or so?

Re: NGK recommendation

The heat range seems ok with the high compression. The stated gap is too tight, stock gap is 0.05" and TR6 gap as I recall is 0.035".

TR6IX are in gapped @ .045 and wow, the plugs I had before must have either been junk or really just not right for my setup.

Re: NGK recommendation

These are the iridium plugs one heat range colder? Wonder where I can buy them. I woudl think they would still be ok for nitrous use..platinum is not supposed to be good but iridium is supposed to be fine for turbo use.

Re: NGK recommendation

Yup one heat range colder than stock. They are actually recommended for boost or spray. I think what helps is the electrode its not like normal ones its like a needle and I guess they require less of your ignition and provide a better sparK.
