Next problem w/ mods...

I just changed the oil after the cam install and it's filled w/ metal shavings. Should I expect any shavings at all? The bottom of the drain pan w/ covered w/ tiny pieces of different sizes. Can I now expect that something is now FUBAR'ed inside?

if im not mistaken, the reason to change the oil right after a cam install is to get the shavings that will be created out.

The odometer reads 47K. The only thing that I can see it being that is "ok" is the double roller chain & gears rubbing on the new 95 cover. I don't hear anything like that but then again it does have open headers so I don't know that I would hear it. I would think that anything else kicking out this much metal would be toast. I changed it again after a few minutes of running and still the shavings appeared. About half as many as the first time but still enough to have me VERY concerned. Should I rip it all apart again?
