I would say some good tires + some launching practice or some used shorty headers. Either will get your time down some.

FLP's or Hookers are really good. You will get a good 15 to 20 RWHP from them. But the only disadvantage is you will most likely not pass emissions. But that is not a big deal here in texas for me so i would be fine with longtubes. I think he should save his money up for a GOOD set of longtubes. Then so some 4.10's in a moser 12 bolt like im gonna do. Cause i would not trust our stock rear end with DR's. But of course thats just my opinion.

Most guys with long tubes dont pass emissions. Just ask most of the guys on the board and they will tell you the same thing. Long tubes give you power but you sacrifice that power for emissions. Somebody chime in and support me with this because i know its true. Thanks. No disrespect smokindastangs Thats just what i have learned in my experience on the board.

Longtubes move your cat from its origional position. If you have emissions in your area chances are that relocating the cat from its stock position will automatically cause you to fail. I'm not totally sure on this tho cuz I have no emissions here

Yep he just said it. It moves your cats. Only solution is FLP which is hella expensive

Thanks everyone for the replies...
Sorry I should have included my gear ratio in the first post.
Currently I have 3.23's installed at the moment.
I would like to go with headers but finding a used set to bolt up to the factory y pipe is going to be hard....
But gears are going to run my into the 500 range, because Ill need to recalibrate my PCM for 3.73's.
So It looks like DR's are going to be my best bet.
When I ran the 14.0 I launched the car @ 1100RPM's.

BTW Does anyone have any used headers or other parts for sale that will help me???

Thanks everyone for the replies.....

I don't see gaining 30hp with headers on an otherwise stock motor.... maybe 20hp with longtubes and 10-15 with shorties on the stock heads/cam.

I wouldn't bother with a new TB until you are in the 350+ rwhp range, unless you find a killer deal.

If you really wan't to get into the 13's at all cost go with gears and/or drag radials.

I disagree with finding 5 to 10 hp with electric water pump.
Maybe 1hp if that.

me = not long tubes
Illinois = emissions ******

electric WP wont give you 5-10 at the rear.. mabey at the flywheel

Shortys will still make more power...not as much as LTs unless you go with AS&Ms but those are expensive

Mac's are good IMO for the price.
