What mod would you go with next if you had the mods I have currently installed?
The budget is 200-300$'s, on BTW Im not looking to install NOS.
What Iam looking for is the best bang for the buck that I can install to get me below a 13.9.
My last run was a 14.0 @ 97MPH with a 2.2 60' .

Please help....

you could go for some 1.6rr, those should be right at $300

but i would suggest some drag radials to remidy that 2.2 60' time.

Definetly get headers. your gonna get them sooner or late anyways. They are a important mod to start off with if you plan anything else in the future.

I would go with either headers or gears. Headers are normally a good starting point; however, i think that you will feal more of a difference w/ gears. Eventually, i would definately do both. I would probably go with headers first.

You can gain .2 to .3 on a set of headers. Now of course that depends on the driver but ive seen it done.

The gear would be good, but then you would need better tires. For what you are wanting to spend its kinda hard to do anything really. Unless like the last few people said, "used" headers.

most ppl get about a 30 hp gain from headers. if you get long tubes they help out alot on the top end. but it will be hard to find a used set of long tubes for $300.

You could also try an electric water pump. Only about 5-10 hp but for the price it's actually a pretty good hp/$ ratio

I don't see gaining 30hp with headers on an otherwise stock motor.... maybe 20hp with longtubes and 10-15 with shorties on the stock heads/cam.

I wouldn't bother with a new TB until you are in the 350+ rwhp range, unless you find a killer deal.

If you really wan't to get into the 13's at all cost go with gears and/or drag radials.

what gear ratio do you have? I think you should go with some 3:73's and practice on launching...........what rpm are you launching it at? If you dont want gears.....then i would suggest waiting and saving up some more money and getting a vigilante 3000 stall torque converter either of those mods pluse some launching practice will get you below 13.9 i think

If you really want to get down the 60ft time at the track, DRs are a good investment. For overall SOTP feel, headers are the way to go.

yeah.......but i dont think headers will be good for him now........if he is planning on many future mods i think he should wait and buy a good set of long tub headers later.....when they will help out the most..............i think the gears or vigilante will be the best decision at this point...................just my $.02
