Newbie has some ignition questions

Question Newbie has some ignition questions

um i just replaced my optispark last weekend and i was wondering if there is a performance coil for the lt-1 motors and if there is...can the stock opticrap be ok with handeling the increase in voltage

There are aftermarket coils available for the LT1, and the voltage should not be an issue with the Opti. Specific coil recommendations depend a bit on what year your car is, since the 93-95 coils are different than the 96/97 coils. You might want to add a "signature" with basic info about your car, like year, trans, any mod's, etc.

The stock coil works fine..... Some ppl get an MSD or Accel. I have an Accel but you wont feel a difference... Best thing is good wires with low OHMs.... I use MSD 8.5 super conductors, only 40-50 ohms resistance.. Some ppl perfer Taylor..
