If its for the track I would add gears and some sticky tires. Other than that i wouldnt have the ignition box on there unless you plan on FI or h/c.

Re: New wish list for my LT1

Is all this stuff from Summit by chance? If so, I would also search through our supporting vendors, they have alot more LT1 specific parts then Summit and they run specials for us all the time. As for what you have picked out, the intake is a good idea, as is all of the exhaust components you picked out and the electric water pump. The ignition box is a waste of money as well as the stainless brake lines. I would also count out the 1" sway bar. Otherwise, the subframe connectors, strut tower brace, spark plugs, and wires are all good ideas as well. As for stuff to add, as already mentioned above, nitrous is one of the better bang for the bucks mods as is a mail-order tune from one of these guys: www.madz28.com or www.pcms4less.com

Re: New wish list for my LT1

no nitrous. This will be a street car.

I will check out the vendors of the web site but I was very happy with summit that is why I have the whole list from there. I know gears are a good way to improve acceleration but I doubt I will be swapping for a set any time soon. The intake and cat back will be bought soon leaving the headers and Y pipe for later as they cost much much more. Next would be the short throw shifter then probably new tires by then. I have a friend in the CAD field that is happy to design a strut brace for me so I may have that custom, and the sub frame connectors will be bought once I have my new TIG welder.

And dont upgrade the lt1 brakes. I switched to the LS1 brakes and it has saved my a** on many occassions. Bigger rotors + dual piston calipers = excellent stopping power over stock.
