I just picked up these valve covers.

But I'm not sure what to do with this line?

What do most people do when they get new valve covers???

Thanks!

Not needed as you have a breather in the new VC on the pass side. That line only pulls a vaccum to help the Crank case breathe. However, you're gonna have a problem putting those on as it won't clear the back of the alternator and you need to grind the alt down to get it to fit. Do a seach and I think it also might be in the Wiki.

That line is not a vacuum line. It supplies metered air into the crankcase and the PCV system pulls it out. Using the breather introduces unmetered air into the system....essentially a vacuum leak. This may be an issue with drivability so look there first

but using a filter your still getting air in the crankcase, the pcv will still do its job..
i think all you would have to do is cap/plug the fitting on the throttle body.

nice valve covers, good score.

The reason the factory system takes the PCV air supply from the throttle body is because the air at that point has been through the MAF sensor and has been filtered. The air from that line ends up in the combustion chamber after the PCV valve pulls it through the crankcase, through the lifter valley and into the intake manifold. Using an open breather instead of the air supply line allows a small amount of unmeasured air into the combustion process, which requires the PCM to make a correction with the long term fuel corrections.
