The car has only 15K miles after all. Put the $$$ into the valvetrain where it will actually make more hp. Also, a good set of rings, I am partial to Total Seal gapless, that's $$$ well spent.

I agree with Rich b/c unless you plan on spraying a good amount of n2o then stock pistons are plenty strong for a N/a 350" Lt1. I would upgrade the rodbolts to ARP's and make sure everything looks good. Spend your money on the heads, cam, springs, rockers, headers etc...

I already spent money on valvetrain. I'm planning on maybe a 75 hp shot.

Yep.

I don't use gapless rings in street motors though.

i like hastings rings, have never had a problem with them....

whats it cost to recondition a set of rods now? i know a set of arp lt1 rodbolts are $65.00, just bought a set.... if its $20 a rod thats $160 plus rodbolts, your better off going aftermarket..

a friend of mine just did a set for me, he didnt charge me for it, was just wanting to know..

That's the main reason I went ahead and bought new rods, and I'll probably buy new pistons Saturday morning. Does 400 rwhp sound doable with my setup??
