New Problem Maybe
Today while driving I stopped to talk to a friend of mine and when I was leaving I felt a knocking in my center console. After this happened, I did a little testing. When In first, A4, and you give it gas the knock is there. Knocks once then nothing. When in D, the knock is also there. I also noticed its also there sometimes when I shift into 2nd. Also the intensity of the knock varies. Can anyone give me and idea as to what could be happeneing?
Tranny mount.
The ES is the most resilient one I ever had. Also it will transmit every engine quirk into the cabin.
Just a note. I never got used to the ES noise in the cabin. My next project will be to find a way to quiet it down or else I will get the rubber one back again.

Thanks Guys, I ordered the ES tranny mount from LS1speed yesterday. Figured my mount would go out sooner or later. I also know that polyurathane(sp) doesn't absorb vibration like rubber does, we'll see how it works out.
My A4 does the same thing, kind of a knocking thumping sound from the center back of the car. It seems to be getting worse or it could be just me noticing it more and how much it annoys me when driving around with very little throttle at low speeds. That is when I seem to hear it more often, although it doesnt seem to do it every single time the tranny shifts. So you guys think it might be the tranny mount? How much are they and could i put one in myself or would i have to spend more cash and let a mechanic do it.
