Put a new opti spark in it turned it over ran great everything was fine. Noticed the water pump was leaking so i shut it down. So i tore it all down again sent the opti back had a warranty on it got the new one and now wont start. I checked all of the wires made sure everything was connected. Any ideas as to what would cause this?

 

Double triple check all wires,coil wire,opti connector,etc

 

What year is your car, so we know which type Opti you have.

Are you sure you have the drive mechanism aligned correctly (splined shaft or dowel pin, depending on which Opti you have)? Have you checked the harness connector for corroded or damaged pins?

What brand? Some of the cheapies fail out of the box. Did you loc-tite the screws that hold the rotor on?

You need to add a "Signature" with basic info about your car - year, model, engine, trans and major mods.

 

When I did mine I thought I had connected all of the wires back up. It turned out I missed one of the ground wires that i had disconnected.

 

Is it even turning over? Have you checked for spark while turning it over?

 

Check the 10 amp ignition fuse that's under the hood on the driver side fuse box.
I put an opti in and the car cut out after idling for a minute and wouldn't start.
Turned out to be this fuse.
