Ok I had a new opti spark along w/ plugs and wires put in around 4 thousand miles ago and here latley it has started to idle rough so i replaced the coil and that fixed that. Now it is missing and cuttin out in the upper rpms just like it did when the opti was out. After the opti install and up till tongith it has ran fine except for the idle. Does anyone know what the problem may be? help me ASAP!!!!!!!!

 

Mines always had kind of a rough idle, even after I did my opti. I am not sure what it might be, burnt plug wire?, IAC sensor? Were you driving your car to close to water? Mine starts to act up when I hit puddles.

no i wasnt' anywhere near water.....its dry as hell here. Could it be fuel related? it was fine b4 the coil install tho aside from the rough idle

 

Stock coil replacement or aftermarket?

still sounds like an opti problem....water can get in from the water pump to, so when was the last time you checked the weap hole on the pump?

 

water pump was replaced w/ opti............but why would it start doing it when i changed the coil?
