New Muffler installed

New Muffler installed

Got myself a SS magnaflow muffler...havent been able to drive with it much but i drove it home from the shop and it sounded great.

-new muffler and tailpipes/clamps
-new brake pads in the back
-new serpentine belt

all for $305 installed... good deal?

What did the muffler cost?
I paid 25 to have a shop weld on my old flowmaster on my z.
brake pads are 20-40 depending what you got and 25mins to change
Serp belt is 25 and takes 2 mins to change.

the muffler was like $140 installed with the tailpipes, it needed an extra clamp so that was another couple bucks

he thought the brake pads were around like $100 and then the belt was like $20 but he installed everything, i didnt do any of the installing

His final price was around liek $305 he was thinkin...ill know more early this week

IMO you might want to buy or borrow some tools and start working on your car yourself or have a buddy help you.

Having a shop do things that you can do (minus the welding) will add up very quickly the more mods you do.

well i figured the muffler 150 after the clamps and tailpipes, the brakes are carquest brand and you guys say about 20 - 40, and then the 20 belt so i prob paid 100 in labor ...i mean some guys pay just 60-100 for the muffler install...

but yea if i wasnt 17 and had some more experience id be willing to work on it just need some guidance...
