New motor, one trouble code, help!!!!!!

I need to know if the DTC P0506 is related to my new BBK TB. I read on Alldata that a vacuum leak could be a poosibility, the only thing I can think of would be my intake manifold, but I have not checked that yet. There are no cats on it yet, the TPS voltage checks out, everything is brand new. PLEASE help, I am thrilled this beast is running, just want some help ironing out the bugs.

You should add the year of your car and if its a stick or auto. It sure sounds like it might be. Did you check the throttle blades to see if they are set right. I see a few problems with these until they are setup right.

97 z28 A4. I have a scan tool at work and the TPS voltages are in the ballpark, but i didnt post that the idle is at 1000 rpm on the dash, cant rememeber what it is on the scantool. Should I attempt to adjust the blades if the voltages seem ok? And I have read on this forum about having to open the hole between the butterflies and vice versa on the BBK's cause they were already there?!!

PLEASE don't post the same question twice. I just spent time answering your original post, only to find that you had a second post with the same question. Not a good idea.

Might also want to add a "signature" with the basic info about your car, so people don't have to ask you about it every time you post.
