i have searched for some answers but found none. i just installed a new motor with the hot cam, ported heads, long tubes etc. it runs like a raped ape during WOT but when i go through the gears and try to hold the rpms steady above 2500 rpm it misses and stumbles. it doesn't miss or stumble below 2500 rpm only above when trying to hold a steady rpm. the car sat for 7 months with barely any gas in it. could it be the fuel filter or a little condensation in the tank. also it is hard to start. by the way it was tuned also by madwolf.

Actually sounds like a fuel pressure regulator. At WOT there is no vacume and the FPR lets max pressure build. I would change the filter first for sure. Then if possible check the fuel pressure with a guage. A test may be to unhook the vacumm line to the FPR and see how it runs. Make sure you plug the port you unplug the line from. This should be used for short term testing only.
