New Mods done over winter, how much gain?

My Sig details what the car had last year before I put it away for the winter. My best pull on the dyno last year was 400.4 hp/400.1 torque (rwhp).

I swore to myself that I would leave the car as it sits, that the blower was my last upgrade.

Yeah right!

Now I've added CNC'd ported stock heads (Scoggin Dickey's) with 2.00/1.60 ferrera valves, comp springs, retainers, locks, guide plates, comp hardened pushrods, 218/230/114 (.495/5.10 lift) blower cam, Comp 1.55 RR, 58mm TB and 42lb injectors.

What do you think she'll make after these mods. I'm going to try to get it to my buddy's dyno hopefully in a couple of weeks.

Guy comes here looking for a little info, and all he gets are a bunch of wise-a$$ responses. Not very friendly

What do the heads flow? Why such a small cam? With lift that low, you aren't taking advantage of what is probably good flow up to at loeast 0.600" lift on the heads. Seems like you are leaving a lot on the table. Were you running the stock cam before?

I think you might make another 50hp/50tq IMO.

Thanks Injuneer, I didn't see the wisea** responses, these guys must have some personal issues.

Anyway, I was a little worried about driveability. The old cam was the stock cam.

Another question, I bought a used ported intake off ebay, and was planning on installing it with my combo, but I noticed that the runners of the ports were slightly larger than that of the heads. Is it better just to put my original unported intake back on for the year?

Sorry, I forgot to mention the heads flowed 262 cfm, can't remember the exhaust side number.

What do they flow at 0.600" lift, compared to 0.500" lift? If they flow better at 0.600", you want a cam with more lift. Is the lift you quoted with 1.5, 1.55 or 1.6X rockers?

Injuneer - looks like he's running a Vortech. Might want to move over to the FI section.

Rob,

Your combo is very similar to my previous blower setup. I ran that same CompCam, ported heads @ 245/195, 7psi A-trim (small blower), no intercooler, no tuning, 9:1 static, manual trans which dynoed 446rwhp - best of two pulls on a hot crappy day.

If you have stock pistons I would be hesitant to run more than 6-8psi and would consider both a conventional heat exchanger intercooler as well as water injection (or alcohol).

Anyhow, you should be able to better my numbers even if you stay at 6psi. I would say ~480rwhp no prob.

Make sure you understand how sensitive the stock pistons are to FI and related detonation.

Oh yeah for sure, until I redo the bottom, I'll keep the 6lb pulley on.

Thanks guys for the info!
