Napa,$1.79(Just got some more yesterday.)
Summit waterpump $179.00
Powers Undercar $99.00(ph 661-295-3200 Ca.)
I suggest everyone maybe should shop around a little first.
Does summit advertise here on the Camaroz28 web site?
Does a chicken have lips?
It's beer o'clock here I guess.

Sounds like Summit should look into becoming a board sponsor.

That's not a bad idea either. I can say that I've been doing business with Summit for close to 14 years now. In all that time I don't have one bad thing to say about them. I moved away from them a little ever since I bought my Z28 in 95. The only reason was their seeming lack of LT1 specific parts. Finally when I started modifying my car and coming here constantly looking for info I started doing the majority of my business with people who advertised here. I love this site. It has probably saved me countless thousands of dollars. That's why I believe in supporting the people that support this site by advertising on it. I sure wish Summit was one of those people.

The Meziere pump flows a constant 30 GPM. More than the stock water pump does.

id back this up. summit has never messed one of my orders up, but somehow jegs seems to mess it up the only time i order from them. ive got a set of longtubes in my garage that i ordered from jegs about 2 and a half weeks ago. i called for a return and they told me a return label was sent out monday the 14th and ive yet to receive a label to return em for exchange. im fixing to request my money back and order them from summit if the label isnt here today. they sent me headers for a damn 55-65 gm truck. you can tell just by looking at them that all 4 primaries run right into an fbodies a-arm. hell even the part number is stamped on the header. but by god i got the instructions for an fbody! that and their return department was flat out rude to me when i called for a return, tried to act like it was my fault. then asked me "are you sure" when i told them they sent the wrong part and i ordered the right one.

I really do wish I could get my advertising department to advertise here. I am still working on it. However, i will counterpoint that there is a strong possibility that if you race, you have seen our banners at your track. That's because we have been supporting tracks all across the country for years. That takes a tremendous amount of money from the budgets. We sponsor the biggest race team in the country, and pay contigency in 5 different race series.

And to pat myself on the back, Summit can influence manufacturers to develope new products for the LT1 and LS1 better than anyone.

I feel we support the LT1 niche pretty well, could we do more, certainly, and I plan to. But don't make a hasty decision. Support this board, as I do, but don't forget who has supported this industry for 35 years.

Dude, you can't tell me you've never been down here!!! For shame, I thought everyone in ohio has been here at least once (except Jeg Coughlin). j/k

When you come in, look to your right. There are posters sticking out from the wall. The 2nd one from the front has a picture of my car

10% off sale is June 7th during Super Summit (retail store), so if you don't mind standing in line and fighting traffic, you can save some $$$

RECON 383 putting out 420? My little 355 can do that for way less than $6k.
Am I missing something?

That cover will be a collector's piece someday...maybe not, but it is still cool too me.

Yeah the store is amazing. There can be 50 people walking around and it still looks slow!!!!

We rate engines conservatively. It lends itself to happier customers if they do go to the dyno, and it provides a cushion since no two engines will provide the same hp and torque. Also, I would bet that this thing will make more torque at idle than most 355's will make at 3000RPM. That will do a lot for a heavy street car with a 3.08 gear.

Also keep in mind that this engine will have a Comp Cams 503-8, which is a pretty mild cam. 224/230 .503/.510 (a cc306 is 230/244 .510/.540). It is a street engine, will not require a gear change in most cars, and can be used with a conservative stall (2000 RPM). They could stuff a CC306 or GTP Stage 4 cam with huge by large ports on the heads, but then it wouldn't be a street engine anymore either.

Even with a 10% margin that is low in my opinion...unless they are putting stock heads on a 383 Cubic Inch motor and a 'small' cam. And I guess the 420 is FWHP. What about tuning?
I must expect alot out of a 383. I pulled 350ish at the wheels with a Th350 and HOT cam with LT4 heads and it is still rich.

Either way, I am glad to see the after market putting out parts for the Fbody. But cant wait to see the prices come down, same parts for an Fbody compared to a stang is 50% more, ie the Kmembers, Fs are 450 and Fords are 300 or less...oh welll...
