New lifters and opening up heads

I agoing to install new comp cam and was curious if I should get new lifters ans pushrods also. I have ported heads on various cars through the years so I am going to do my own. I was wondering about opening up the valves, on older style heads I always had them opened up to 2.02 intake is that the way to go on these heads.

New lifters highly recco (not necessary some would say) but do it for P.O.M.

New Pushrods.... Why not?

I have seen where people have been having problems with comp lifters. Do you know the crane lifter part number.

Re: New lifters and opening up heads

I recently did some flow bench testing on a set of heads that I ported myself. I did a full port job on them, and had two different sets of valves I flow tested. One set was Manley Race valves, 2.00" intake/1.56" exhaust. The other set was stock valves. The best combination for flow at virtually all valve lift points was intake- Manley Race 2.00" and exhaust- stock.
