new header bolts

well it happened again. i had two bolts fall completely out. i tightend them every day for almost two weeks. then a month later they are gone. it is only the back ones. anyway, i went to autozone to get some more bolts. they had these kind that use a stainless wire that runs through one bolt to another. the concept isn't new, i know. but, i thought what the hey. has anyone tried these? i hope this solves my problem. i guess i will check them everyday or so from now on.

Re: new header bolts

I have Stage 8 Locking Header Bolts on both my Z28 and my full size Blazer. I've never had one come loose. These things are great, and I would recommend them to anyone who doesn't want to be checking header bolts every month or so.

I bought mine from Summit, but some of the Supporting Vendors also carry them.

Thomas.

if you want and easier install then go with the Breslin's. They have a set screw in the middle that you tighten that expands them in the bolt hole and holds them just as good if not better than the Stage 8's.. and believe me... they are 10 times easier to install then the stage 8's.. you can find them on Summit as well.
