New guy with a question
Hello, New to this forum!!!
I hope someone here can help me out on a 95 lt1 camaro.
Car was running horribly took to dealership they recommended cleaning one fuel injector and doing plugs and wires. They did it now it misses when hot and at a low rpm (before 2000 rpm) can really feel the miss in 6th gear. The miss is not there at higher rpm's.
So should I think about a new set of injectors or should the optispark be replaced it has 57k on the clock.
Thanks for any help I receive

Re: New guy with a question
I would start first by checking everything over What the dealership did. I'm sure that they knew what they were doing but they are human and make mistakes. Check the plug wires to make sure that they are on tight and in the correct position. Check that the Opti has all the plug wires on tight and has the hoses connected. Check the ICM to make sure that the ground is on and clean and that the plug wire going to it is on tight. If the car is having a hard time idling, take out the IAC from your throttle body and give it a good cleaning. Lube it back up with a good lubricant. Check all the wires going to the injectors to make sure that they are correct and tight. I would do all of that before you go ripping the opti off. Plus I would take the spark plugs out to see how they look. Your problem does sound like a bad opti but they are not a ten minute job and are a bit pricey. If all fails and you get a new opti on the car and it doesn't fix it you've just saved yourself from buying a new one in a couple of years because it will go bad. Good luck.
