Remember, when you do your plugs to put some Anti-Seize Paste on the threads of the plugs (or a few dabs of oil from the dipstick) to help the plugs torque in evenly and it also helps with removal. Also, put some clear Di-Electric Grease inside the plug wire boots before you snap them back on.

You can get them in tear away packets that you can use once or I prefer the tubes which can be used for some time.

Did you do the free Throttle Body By-Pass Mod?

About the plugs, you can go to the NGK and Bosch websites to get the details. I went with the Bosch Platinum +4s because I don't like changing my Camaro plugs (very difficult with the headers). Platinum is used on cars with 100,000 mile warranties so they will last a long time. Typical Platinum plug change can be between 60,000 and 100,000 miles.

Do not use platinum when using Nitrous... has a chemical reaction with N2O and it isn't pretty. So, if you are going to go with N2O, get copper and a colder plug.

Again, don't forget to lubricate the plug threads (Anti-Seize or oil)

If you are going to do that. Just go ahead and get a K&N FIPK. Fancy name for K&N cold air intake. I got mine for 180 shipped to my door. 80 for a ghetto put together one or 180 for a really nice K&N one....................your choice. But if you want an exaust i would highly suggest a cutout. About 40 bucks from summit, 30 bucks or so for the install. Your talking 70 bucks for 10 RWHP, thats a good deal. Will not mess with your emissions what so ever as long as you put it AFTER the cat on the I-pipe. Thats what i did and i have no problems. I got the NGK-55's and love them. This of course is just my opinion but beware, before you start modding know this. Its an addiction that will SUCK the money straight out of your wallet. J/k have fun and congrats on the car. Dont call something ghetto untill you see it. Its a nice polished intake tube, it may not be as nice as the SLP, but it does look better then the K&N. Give me a while to get some pics up.

good point, it doesn't matter how it looks as long as it gets cool air into the manifold. In all honesty, I've got the GM Performance Parts CAI (the only available in 1995... original owner). This was made by SLP... but if you touch the intake after running the engine, it is hot! So, if you are going to do it using home products, plastic tubes would probably radiate heat away from the intake air. Just a thought.

I'm trying to figure a way to line the inside of the tubes to keep them cool.
