New ET's w/ Lloyds Heads
Ran at Mason Dixon on Sunday and got some results. My only motor change from last year was a set of Lloyds heads with 2.0" intakes and 1.56" Exh valves. Last years best time was 12.43 on stock heads in awesome air at Cecil County. Sundays best was a 12.16 at 114MPH in pretty good air at Mason. So, I picked up about 3 tenth. I should be close to 12.0's with the right air. Pretty much what I figured.
Plus: I ran the table in two classes Street Eliminator and the Outlaw Pontiac series. It was just one of those days where everything seem to click just right!
Thanks Lloyd

Actually 3700 is almost 2 tons LOL. Yes a diet is in order. I'm probably going to pull the rear seats at least for this year. I hate to loose all the creature comforts though. Maybe if I just lost 30# that would be the lowest cost option to better ET's

Best 60' was still only 1.751. Sux to have so much weight. I'm launching at about 4500 and really punishing the drive train at that. My new Richmond's were pretty quiet before Sunday. Now they howl just like every other set I've abused. It only takes about two passes to lay the teeth over to the point they make noise.

Got Hp Best MPH was 111 before the heads. Dyno jet showed a 40HP increase to the rear wheels.
Lloyd The AFR's are at 13 all the way. I didn't fool with timing. I'm on the verge of detonation and see some real knock retard on 94 gas from time to time so there's probably not a whole lot there. Maybe some smart cookie could tweek out a few more ponies with programming but I think it's pretty close. Lost absolutely no torque down low. I think the CR change up to 10:8 helped that out a bit.

Steve,
I am sure that you did better tuning that I could have done.
pretty good E.T. for a heavy car.
I think the 60 ft is pretty good also. I have seen A4 cars with better 60 ft's but I would be leary of launching at 4500 with stock 10 bolt, WOW. Some can take it and some can't.

What altitude are you at? Just wondering because 375rwhp seems low with a good set of heads and cc306 cam. It seems like something might be holding you back?
Lloyd has my heads right now. I cant wait to get them back. Hoping for 390rwhp with shorties.

I'm at about 600 ft and I'll agree that 375 was on the low side of what I expected. My Dyno numbers were on a fresh 12 Bolt rear and ET streets so I figure they snitched maybe 5 or so ponies. Also I probably could have spun it up to 6600 and picked up a few more. But at the end of the day, ET was the most important thing for me. I not really trying to run 11's because I haven't invested in a roll bar and restraints just yet. I'm still going to run a leakdown test to make sure I don't have something else going on. Maybe next year I'll get Phil to tweek the heads some more. Also, I probably should have decked the block to get to closer to 11:1. As it was I just CC'd the heads to 55 and went with an Impy gasket. The quench was a little larger than it should be since the pistons were still .022 in the hole.
My next change will probably be the Mcleod T56 SFI Bellhousing that's coming out this sumer. With that I should be able to transition to a 3 finger clutch and an iron disc slipper system. That should help out my 60's a bit and save my drivetrain a bunch. Not to mention saving my tootsies from flying pieces parts.
