New dyno numbers 439.2/403.9

Thought I had hurt the motor at the spring break shootout so I checked it over and took it to the dyno to see if it was down on power. I found a problem and fixed it and everything seemed fine...I just wanted to make sure before I tore into it.

Well...ended up making more power than ever...lol.

Made 439.2/403.9 through a 9" and 4.71 gears. No dyno tricks..belt on I just put drag radials on isntead of slicks. The car was pretty lean for some reason and I didn't have my laptop with me. It was at 14.2 so I know more power would have been there if I had tweeked it. Oh well...gonna finish the install on my nitrous system and head back to the dyno for tuning on motor and nitrous.

then...lt4s on the way...then converted vic. jr. intake, then a new cam. I'm doing each by themself and running it for a while. I want to see what each change nets in hp and et.

thanks guys

saint...it shouldn't be a problem with the new stuff on the market today. My heads are ok...but much better out there these days. Just don't buy off the shelf stuff(cam) and you should be able to hit these numbers pretty easy if you dont' skimp on the heads.

Very nice! Curious, what is the raceweight of your car? I'm gonna guess right around 3400 with you in it. Is that close? Thanks!

What air-fuel are you trying to obtain? Those 30 pound injectors seem a little small for the power your making.
Also, how much vacuum do you have at idle and how streetable is that solid roller? Your running a lot of lift (over 600)!

Nice car btw. Wish I could run a cam that big over here in CA. It'll never happen.

I was 3430 at the spring break shootout. Good guess.

The last time I tuned it the car made best power between 12.9-13.1. I was lean down bottom also which is really bad for the torque. It likes to be 12.5ish on the low end. The injectors are runing at about 85% duty cycles last time I checked. Never checked the vacume at idle...but the car has great brakes. Its very streetable. It doesn't sound near as big as it looks. Most of the new big hydrolic rollers make mine sound tame.

Thanks for the compliments guys.
