new dyno numbers
not sure if this should be general forum or not. all the car info is in the cardomain sig. i installed the shift kit, diff cover, and a 2500 stall TC also. i just havent updated the website yet. i put 290 hp and 290 ft-lbs to the rear tires. i told the guys i was hoping for a 300 but new 290 was more likely. it was done at 4:30 in the afternoon at 80 deg outside air here in southern california. they told me if i had done it first thing in the morning after it sat on the dyno all night (cold heads and colder 60 deg outside air) i would have seen 8 to 10 percent more. i think i will say i hit 300 anyway. 315 at the wheels for my mods sounds too high.

most dyno number's are corrected to a sae standard if you have the corrected numbers anyway.. so if you have 290 SAE.. you have 290... no need to fudge #'s.. ain't going to make your car any faster..
either way you look at it you have a strong running car.. that converter is going to suck up a lil bit more power than a stock one and for a A4 car.. its making great power!! my m6 dynoed 309/354.. nice #'s

Aftermarket tq should make more hp if you just look at weight difference alone. But it is negated and costs you even more than you think with slippage but...stock WOT will not lock up to tq...or at least pray it does not...your simply not making enough power to need such a function yet. You should see an increase in rwtq...but again, depends on the tq and STR. Some do, some dont.
If your dyno sheet says SAE, it was corrected and probably gave you more than uncorrected. STD, SAE, EEC....blah...just different correction factors. People just like to use SAE to compare..but you can compare STD also.
