New Forum

There is a new forum in the "Specific Technical Discussion" section of the board called "Drivetrain". If you want to discuss issues related to transmissions, driveshafts, rear ends. etc. that's the best place to do it.

I stuck this for you, Rich

I don't think I'm going to move all the topics currently in LT1 Tech right now related to the drivetrain. However, for members who read this, please post drivetrain related topics in the new forum. Thanks!

Wow, that's great. I had actually been thinking about suggesting this idea to Jason recently, hadn't got around to it. This should really help clean up this section, I would bet 1/2 the questions here would fall into the new forum. Very nice

I hate to be the one to **** in the wheaties, I know LT1 Tech is sorta overloaded, but it makes it kinda harder to find answers when you have umpteen different forums!! does anyone else agree???? Not just a selfish point of view cause I also bookmark LT1 Tech and read the top page every few hours or so at work!! Now people won't get the answers cause nobody really wants to go to all those forums. just my $.02

I disagree totally. No matter what car you have on here...1st through 4th gen. we all have drivetrains that aren't that much different, right? There's experts on this board that my have an ls1 car so they never read the lt1 tech forum. Therefore, guys here lose out on that valuable expertise. Now we have a forum where people from ALL generations of f bodies can talk about one common topic that we all share.

not only that, but a trans question will most likely not get answred quickly and get pushed off the first page. the experts wont see it and off it goes- lost in a cyber clutter of posts.

this way, the experts will see it. This is a slower forum so it will stick around on the first page or two for a while. Long enough for someone to answer it.

its kind of like advanced tech. it might take 2 days to get anwered because there are only a hand full of guys qualified to answer most questions. it will get answered though.
