it will only help it burn better if it is not a complete burn in the first place, you would have to establish that the stocker is not sufficient. i think it could be better spent elsewhere. but i've been wrong before. only three times though, not bad for being 24 i guess.

I'm speculating that my car had been running rich because it went through a couple of cats. I'm not sure of everything that would cause a rich condition, but I've installed a new MAF and new O2 sensors. I was just curious if it continued to run rich whether a hotter spark would be of any benefit.

I honestly have no idea, but the gap is probably whatever is called for. The plugs in it are the AC Delco Platinum plugs that would have been installed by a dealer. I'll be putting in new plugs and wires at some point, but I'm thinking I may wait until I put on some headers before changing all of that out as headers could require new wires and I don't really want to buy them twice.

If its running excessively rich, there is a problem somewhere. Do you have any exhaust or vacuum leaks? How long ago were the plugs and wires done? The AC Delco platinum plugs are notorious for dropping their pucks resulting in a plug gap of almost double.

I'm honestly not sure about the exhaust or vacuum leaks. I did pull a couple of the plugs and they still had the puck on them. They appeared to be in decent shape, but there was some soot which I think indicates a rich mixture.
