Just want some opinions on my setup

I am in the process of building a 355. I have read many posts to try and get the correct collection of parts. My questions are mainly my compression ratios, Heres my setup and calculated numbers:

LE2 heads(54 cc chambers)
Custom cam ADV Dur. 290/294....ICA 73
Zero deck
.039 Felpro gaskets
6.00 rod
Mahle flattop(5cc) pistons

Using the Pat Kelly DCR calculator

approx. 8.7 DCR
approx. 11.8 SCR

Not a daily driver, 93 octane, it will be properly tuned
I haven't purchased the head gaskets or took the engine to the machine shop yet, so those variables can be changed.

Thanks,

Your setup is similar to mine.
I have 355, lightly decked with 6" Scat forged rods with Mahle forged pistons. I also have LE2 heads.

I have .026 piston clearance from the top of the block and I will be using .029" Impala gaskets. I figure my CR to be around 11.1 SCR.

I am looking to have daily driver characteristics, but it is not my DD. Just a weeknd toy.

You should be around 11.15:1 , Lloyds heads are generally 58cc unless you had them done differently.
I have LE2s on my car. Very much streetable on pump gas.

(If you do in fact have 54cc heads, then yes, you are going to be up around 11.75-11.80:1)

He told me that these would be around 54-55cc. They were done a few years ago. They will be checked though before any final decisions are made.

I checked out your web page. I'm not a fan of either the hood or the color, BUT I do think on your car it looks pretty sweet. What cam is that your going with? Even if you do figure out the SCR and DCR make sure a pro double checks your calculations. Good luck with the build!!!

The cam should rock. I for one, love the color and the hood. I wanna get one for my car, and that color is the only one I really like other than Black.

Don't take my comment the wrong way. I'm sure youv'e looked at someone elses car and though, yeah it looks sweet, just not my taste though.

seawolf06, There is no other color but black, but I'm a little bias.
