I just bought an engine rebuild stroker kit and they threw in a free performance cam. I only got the grind sheet on it so i will need help comparing it to the other cams such as (Hotcam, cc305,cc306)
Lift-
Intake @ CAM .295 @ Valve .443
Exhaust @ CAM .310 @ Valve .465

INTAKE Opens- 32 BTDC Closes- 68 ABDC Duration- 280

EXHAUST Opens- 81 BBDC Closes- 29 ATDC Durat- 290


Please help compare or atleast give me an idea how this cam will work with my 383 stroker

 

lift is smaller than the hot cam. I think duration is too. It looks like advertised duration, so...280 @.002 lift? I think the Hot cam has more than that, as would the others. Tiny for a 383 IMO.

 

just curious where did you buy the kit.

 

My father actually bought it for me for an x-mas gift. We both were happy when they screwed up and gave us a cam to. I think he bought it on e-bay from a guy that sells alot of kits like it. Im still yet to find out if the car im cleaning up a lot will be the one that i will drive when i get my license on March 11tt. Hes looking at a 98 LS1 beacuse of miles. Damn im excited but thats the way it goes. Regardless of the cam or other stuff, having a camaro LT1 is a hot car to start off with and having close to 350-400 RWHP will be insane. Ohh well a smaller cam will probably still get me a speeding ticket.
