New Best, but bye bye trans!!!
Just about 4 years ago I had ProBuilt Automatics build my 4L60E with a stated goal of 320rwhp and 13 seconds. Well obviously things have changed, been under this heads and cam for 1.5 years and about 15K miles and had about 30K or so on it before ranging from 260-290rwhp. All I had to do after I added all the extra power was redrill the 1-2 feed hole.
Corvette servo, stock planetaries, no beast, lots of the "wrong" "basic" parts, the 4L60E needs a builder more than it needs a parts list. I am planning to refresh it this winter but it is going strong yet.
Most unique part on it is the vacuum modulator, my understanding is it provides more stable pressure than the computer does.

Alan, I hate to hear that you busted the tranny but man.... your car is impressive, congrats on the new times. Maybe someday I'll get you to give me some suspension tuning advice and we'll see if the t56 holds up any better.
Yeah, I was talking to the trans guy today...He's taking it apart now to see what happened...The 60E has served me well over the last 3 plus years of abuse, and they don't last forever...I'll probably just have it built again and just freshen it every year or so...There have been a few upgrades available since it was last built...I do like the OD and love the 3.06 first gear, but I will probably send the Vig back for a freshen and a 4000 stall upgrade from my current 3600...I'll know more in a few hours when I get the phone call...

I have Bogart wheels, as does Alan. My M/T 275 50 15s needed no work. But I was wondering if any extra work for the 28" tire was required. But thanks anyways, Javier.

Alan your 121-122 mph trap speed should put you in the High 10's with around a 1.45 sixty IMO. 3600lbs for a N/a car is heavy do you still have everything??? If I was you I would stick with the 4L60E. My buddy keeps going through several of them himself but the wrong guy is building them. He could have saved some money and bought one from some one reputable, lol. Your tranny guy seems good though, 3years and SEVERAL low 11 second passes

Still very impressive Alan, your car is a testiment to what people can do if they get the whole setup to work well together and dont worry about dyno numbers.
