Thanks again guys.

Track: Edgewater Drag Strip, NHRA

Race weight = 3800ish (guessing), not a lightweight by any means. Nothing has been removed (not even jack/spare), plus 10 inch sub, and amp, plus 12 bolt, plus me etc etc.

DJ: Your car has 11s in it too. Just need to do a little more tweaking. I think you would have been VERY close if not there if your valve springs hadnt been getting tired.

Evan...heads are in the works, soon my man, soon.

While i wish you all the luck in the world tig, but you need to get a rear in that thing first. That 10 bolt is going to go kaboooooom and 3.42s are a PITA to launch hard on. Been there, tried that

Anyways, where you been hiding??? Havent talked to you in awhile. Keep in touch bro.

Ya i've whacked my 1350 U joint conversion pretty good on the 12 bolt. Mines shot too.

You are fine for now with the 10 bolt, but once you hook it hard is when you will start having the issues. Suspension only means more stress on the axles and gears.

Let me know if you will be in town the next few weeks and racing, ill head to the track with you guys.

I've personally seen a stock 10 bolt go 10s at the north vs south shootout in bowling green

All the ones I know that broke had a different gear in em. From my personal experience. . . except for mine, which was stock on street tires on the street, but thats a different story

ahh i figured a 1.85 60' on ET's at a 6k clutch drop was a fairly decent job for the 10 bolt, especially when the data log said it dropped straight to 2500 rpm i'd say thats a bit of a stress.. now if i had 4.10s SNAP. can't go racing till i get enough money to pay for edgewaters charge.

TB is 52mm, stock throttle body, bored over by halbert performance (NOMAD on board)

Figured you might want to see all the timeslips:

1st Run:
60: 2.06 (right lane, crap on line, really sideways)
1/8th: 8.193
mph : 87.77
1/4: 12.498
mph: 114.56

2nd Run:
60: 1.691
1/8th: 7.758
mph : 86.45
1/4: 12.25
mph: 111.74 (missed fricken 4th gear, i was so pissed, that was an 11 i thought at the time)

3rd Run:
60: 1.687 (nothing wrong here
1/8th: 7.690
mph : 90.09
1/4: 11.98
mph: 115.44

4th Run:
60: 1.682 (close to a backup time, but not quite there)
1/8th: 7.719
mph : 89.45
1/4: 12.038
mph: 114.83

Then i had to go to work

Sorry to bring this back from the dead but Altjar:
Sorry if I missed something but what is done to your engine? I saw what you've done to the valvetrain and the GM847 cam, ported TB, headers, CAI. Is that it? Sweet man congrats again!

I'm hopin' to hit 11's w/ my car next summer after some suspension mods - car's been down on and off all of '03. How does the 847 cam compare to the Hot Cam? Lift, duration, etc? Would anyone go with it over a cc306?
