guys he has a 12-bolt rear. It's his daily driver, and he did the tuning himself via Tuner CAT, and it idles better than a hotcammed car

Lots of questions, if i miss something just ask again. Also most of this info is in my web page in the sig.

First of all when i said stone stock i meant the suspension, not the rest of the car, lol.

Rear end: strange 12 bolt

Tire/wheel combo:
Front: Weld drag lite skinnies, with some VW van tires on them.
Rear: 16 inch 5 star TA wheels, 26x11.5x16 ET streets@ 14psi

Cam:
GM 847 234/242 .575/.595 112las

Its fine with stock heads, makes good power. Only car i have, everyday driver, good gas mileage and all. Do a search for my user name, and "847" to see my impressions of it, along with others running it. There are some good threads on it.

There isnt a package out for this cam, but you could look what i have done or others running it and just copy

As matt said, tuning was done via TunerCATS. Ive spent a lot of time on it, as has my buddy dave. Idle isnt horrible. I have truthfully seen some hotcam cars idle worse than it, but also seen some idle better. Its not unbearable or not street friendly by any means.

Yup stock TA wheels, 16x8. The salad shooters are the same thing, except i think they may weight a tad more.

also, i edited the above post, but the ET streets are 26x11.5x16, NOT 27x11.5x16 (although if you measure them they are acutally a 27 inch, which is why i wrote that)

Thumbs up

Nice job Jared! When you gonna' put heads on that thing? I think they will more than make up what you will lose with a roll cage (lol) although I must say it's kinda' nice to be able to use the words 11's, stock heads and n/a in the same sentence. Very well tuned and very well setup. Your car is a beast and I am definately taking notes.

Thumbs up Great Run..:bow::bow:

Well I was going to just run a XE503 but it seems that if I want to even come close to the big time players in Ohio I need a 847 or 306. Great Run, I can only hope to hit elevens with my daily drivey someday, I just need to get a deeper wallet. However I have looked at your Homepage alot and I pretty much want to follow in your footsteps as far as the cam and exterior. The funniest thing I found about your website was that you have the same year car, same color, and the same girlfriend ...now wait not exactly the same but the same name at least, Melissa. Must be some attraction between those girls and Red Z/28's or something else like the big "cam". Anyways good luck to you in the future with your car, hope to see you on the road someday, and stop by if your near Y-town.

Dustin

i think im going to try the 847 on a 110. i just cant believe the times people are runnign with it. but mines going with a set of loyds heads, and on stock manifolds for a while. until the LTs.

from everything i read about the 847 it will do what i want. and if i go with a 383 later (hopefully spring) i think it would work well there to.

thanks for all the info altjar.
