New 383 w/ vented opti, NON vented opti car + PCV system question

Hey all, im building a new 383 for my 1994 Trans AM. The car originaly had a non vented opti of course and with my new motor i want to make it vented. My question is in regards to the PCV system. CURRENTLY my car with the stock motor and non vented opti has the pcv valve in the driver side intake manifold, connecting via a 4" black hose to the vaccume fitting directly next to it (place where the vaccume line for the vented opti goes. My question to you all is as follows: When I put the small nipple fitting for the vented opti in the intake manifold that leaves the PCV valve with no place to connect to, where should I connect it? Does it connect to the nipple on the front face of the intake manifold toward the bottom of it? Also, on a non vented car what does that nipple on the front of the intake manifold connect to if not for the pcv system? THANKS...also, one guide for doin the conversion calls for (94 opti eletric harness) PN 12130319. Is this PN used for so that I do not have to cut or splice the connector for the stock harness, or do i have to do that anyway? Any good guides you know of?

All you really need to do is put a "tee" on the vacuum connection for the EGR vacuum line..... worked fine on my car (vented conversion) like that for 5 years.

You have to change the electrical harness because the connector at the optispark end is of a different length going down into the opti..

Cheaper alternative for the vented opti electrical harness.

Injunner: I deleted my EGR, so I mite just use that vacume port thats pluged up now with a 1/4 NPT plug for the opti vacume line and leave the PCV valve in its stock location with that 4" hose. BUT my question to you is this....the 1 1/2" nipple on the front face of the intake manifold, what connects there if the PCV system doesn't on a pre-vented opti car?

Shoebox: Thanks for that link! The GM one was like $75 thanks! With that conversion wire there will be NO splicing or anything involved right? PLug and play?

No splicing on the electrical harness. However, you may have to slightly modify the plastic on the connector at the side of the intake manifold to be able to slide the connector together. It is no big deal and you will see what is necessary when you have the items in front of you.

1995 and up have the PCV vacuum port on the lower front of the manifold. Earlier models either have a plug or no provision at all at that spot.

Do you really have a ' 1-1/2" nipple on the front face of the intake manifold'. My 94 had a smaller hole with a pipe plug in it. Nothing was connected to it.
