Need some taller valve covers who makes em?

This is for a 95 Z28 LT1 with aftermarket shaft mounts

Need a set of valve covers that are 1/2" taller than stock, have the alternator notch on the passenger side and uses a stock gasket preferably. Also, it would be nice to have a little more width than stock as well.

Anyone know who makes a valve cover that meets this criteria?

i think u might have to make a special bracket with the canton to tilt the altenator upwards and find a longer belt to run the system. i had read it the other day but it was an old post. maybe they got it figured out!

I checked their site, it doesn't look like they use the stock gasket do they? There's no groove to retain it by the looks of it.

Also any idea how tall it is?

It looks like there's a notch cut into it for the alternator? Would it still need an alternator relocation bracket? That's what I want to avoid.

oh I have one more restriction, the car has traction control, so the TC unit sits right atop the driver's valve cover. Right now I run a 1/2 inch spacer and it just clears, so I can't get anything over 1/2 inch taller...maybe a little more but not much. Have to get rid of the spacer cuz it leaks no matter what I do.

You may be able to find some tall center bolt covers and have the passenger side cover trimmed and fabbed to clear the alt. Seen the tall center bolt covers before - maybe Jegs or Summit. I think they're all aluminum though. The AFR heads I'm running have the gen1 rectangular bolt hole pattern also. I just went and bought some tall Edlebrocks, notched about 1/2" off the front of the riders side cover, found some thin steel plate and welded the notched section back. Fits like a dream.

The Canton valve covers I tried and I have "ISSUES". I think for $190.00, the valve covers should fit without ANY clearance problems. You should not have to clearance them internally or swap the alternator bracket to make them fit. And yes - my alternator was a PITA to get in and barely cleared. Ok, I'm finished ranting now.

So I ended up with the Proform black cast aluminum valve covers. Tried them on and they don't clear the shaft mounts. The back of the rockers (towards intake) stick out too much. I think I'm going to get them modded with some extra clearance in the back. I like the way these things are cast and hold the gasket etc. It also looks like I can reef on them if needed and not bend them or otherwise like a stamped steel one. It looks like there is no truly bolt in cover for the F-body LT1 that will clear all shaft mounts.
