Need some quick steps for replacing rear main seal please...
I'm doing a header/exhaust swap from my '95Z to my '94TA, and along with that, I'm replacing the rear seal, as it's leaking like a siv.
I intend to replace the rear main seal over this weekend, and really need to know the steps to save time as much as possible, preferable advice from someone who has done this before with success the first time around.
The car is a '94 Trans Am, 4L60E Auto transmission.
I will have access to a lift etc, and am hoping this is a 1-day job, especially due to cost etc. of my big tube swap on the Z28.
Thanks!

1: Pull transmission
2: pull flexplate
3: replace rear main seal
The seal is easy to replace but the trans has to come out to get to it.
Good luck, even with a lift I don't think you will get the exhaust and seal done in one day.

Before you pull the tranny to do the rear main I would check to make sure it's not the rear of your intake leaking down. These cars are notorius for that. The rear mains on LT1's aren't really prone to leaking.

Thanks guys. I'm only doing the rear seal today hopefully. The exhaust I'll be doin' in the driveway, and after doing that install on a different car, I know it's time consuming.
I just wanted to ensure there wasn't some odd-ball horror-story type scenario to doing this seal swap. You know - LT1 gremlins, lol!
