Another Dual Exhaust question

I am running 3" true duals off jet hot long tubes. I am cutting the pans out from under the rear seats to hang the mufflers there (40 series flowmasters), I am also moving the fuel/brake lines out of the tunnel. I ditched the abs with the 9", and the fuel pump wiring is moved out of the way. I need to cut some off of the panhard rod upper piece, but not sure how much.
I saw some pics at one time of a trans am with duals ran over the axle and instructions on exactly where to cut the panhard piece.
Does anyone know what I am talking about? If so, can you give me a link, or just any link to a nice over the axle dual system.
Thanks
Stevie

Re: Another Dual Exhaust question

I haven't seen the instructions about that Trans Am, but I have seen a few cars with a panhard rod support bar relocation kit: http://www.thunderracing.com/images/...mr/phreloc.jpg Available here: http://www.thunderracing.com/catalog...&vid=4&pcid=88 (scroll down). These are made to relocate the bar with enough room to run true duals while not having to cut anything and run the risk of sacrificing some structural strength . The only downside is the price .

That BMR relocation kit allows for up to dual 3" exhaust, BUT I believe that is BOTH over the passenger side of the axle.

I believe he wants run one pipe over each side of the axle by what I read. If that is the case... I don't see any way to do it without completely removing the upper panhard rod. The TA you said you saw... was it this one?

Patriots TA

I think he said he just removed it the upper panhard rod. I haven't seen any done by cutting it.

I am cutting all of the foam out from under the rear seats, they will be cosmetic only so they will fit.
Here are some pics of the floors, they are getting welded in monday morning
Raised floors and panel for tq. arm bracket clearance
Left Floor
Right Floor

Does it hurt anything to remove the upper panhard brace?
