Re: need some lt1 help

Just a crazy question: aren't the MAFs between an Impala and Camaro different sizes? Will they register the same amount of airflow? I thought the Impala folks like to install F-body MAFs because they were bigger. I'm not sure if anything in the ECM needed to be changed. I could be wrong. Injuneer probably knows!

Yes both vehicles are 94's....the 383 was in my impala and ran fine I swapped heads and put it into my Camaro. It has 42lb green tops in it, tuned by pcm4less. I'm going to check over the rocker arms I'm thinking they may be adjusted on the tight side. Other than that I'm out of ideas.

So, the heads that are on your stroker 383, that is in your camaro now and not running, are the factory camaro heads? Non ported with the ported 383 intake?

Why the head swap? Like Cam's Maro said, are they stockers? That WILL change everything due to a different comp ratio, flow etc...

Its hard to say. Ported better how? If there is a drastic difference in the two sets of heads, that could be part of the problem. Were you able to scan for any codes?
