Need some help here.

Still having an issue with blowing the eng fuse. I have replaced the MAF ( the first code I saw was P0100). I tried changing the O2 sensors just to be sure that wasn't the issue. It wasn't. Basically, evrything on that circuit is throwing code when the fuse blows of course. What is causing the surge? When I first change the fuse the amps on the circuit are correct and the O2 volts are in range. Is the skipshift elim going bad, or the reverse lockout? I think that is the only thing left on the circuit. If you can help or tell me how to diagnose, please chime in. All ideas are appreciated by this mechanically challenged LT1 driver.

What was the last thing you did to the car before the fuses started blowing?

Well, the SES went off one day and I scanned it and it said MAF. I unplugged and reconnected the MAF and the light went off. Week later light back on so I changed the MAF, but the fuse had also blown. Now I can't keep a fuse for more than a few days. Seems to blow under load uphill. Maybe just a coincidence, but maybe it is the skip shift or reverse? Don't know but I hate carrying around a box of fuses.

Re: Need some help here.

There is a 12 v constant wire to the MAF make sure it is not shorting out somewhere and the 5 volt reference voltage to the MAF for that matter. Was the MAF a new or used one you replaced it with? Just because it is new, if it is, dont mean it is good. I am guessing you have a wiring problem to the MAF and that is what threw the code in the first place. OR the one replacement that everybody blames all and fixes all is the opti! just kidding of course on the opti.

The MAF was new and my friend checked the current on the hot wire, but I will recheck to make sure. I am starting to lean towards the hot wire as well, but not sure. You know how electrical problems can be.
