hey whats up guys need some help. with my car ill drive it then out of no where it will turn off then i turn it back on and it will trun right back off or just keep cracking and won't turn on. I got it scanned and code p1371 came out would this be the opti spark? or any other thing that can cause that code to come out?

 

P1371 indicates the PCM can not find the low resolution pulse from the optical module (cam position sensor) in the Opti. When the PCM loses that signal for more than 2 crank revolutions, it shuts down the fuel system.

First check the harness connectors for the Opti, for corrosion or pin damage. There a connector that plugs onto the Opti body, and another gray connector on the bracket on the passenger side of the intake manifold.

If there is no sign of a harness problem, its the Opti.
