Ok heres the deal. For some reason, the other day my lock/unlock button on my drivers side door took a ****, and now i have to manually lock the doors in order to lock them. So i decided to pop out the plastic piece that has the lock button, and the windows, and side mirrors. For some reason, i cant get that piece back in. It has like a metal clip on the left side, that seems to clip in, but the right side pops out!! Its pissing me off, cuz everytime i close my door it pops out completely and hangs there by the wires. How the hell do i put this thing back on. (94 Z28)

 

Mine used to do the same thing and I found out that I had lost one of the metal clips that holds it down. How many clips do you have on yours at the moment? Maybe you have lost one of the clips and just didn't realize it.

 

Damn i was worried it was that, i only have one clip. How did you fix yours???

 

I just went to the dealership and picked up a new clip...they are very cheap...mine has not popped out since.

 

a new metal clip, or the whole plastic piece that holds the button cluster??? If it is just a clip, how does it get put on??

 

I just bought the clip...it just snaps onto the plastic piece and then when you push it back down in the door it will snap in place and shouldn't pop out as easy.

No problem...I can remember how irritated I was when that happened to me.
