How soon do you know?

How soon do you know when your headers have burnt through a wire or line, especially plastic? Does it happen right away or does it take time after the install?

The easiest way to know, is to look and see.

Will it burn through a wire right away if it's touching, or will it take time?

Won't take long. If it touches, fix it.

I was just wondering since there is a set of wires that is close to the bottom of the pass. side headers. The wires don't seem to touch but are real close, and seems to be wrapped with some kind of heat resistant tape. I just din't know if that would hold and if not, would it have burt through it by now?

I don't know what the wires go to, but I know they run down along side the header. But I was just wondering if they would have burnt through by now.
