Ok i just got in my hood from Fiberglass Fabricators. Its a SS hood for 93-97 cars. I have a 96...we put it on and the bolts all went in fine....but the back of the hood just barely hits my plastic gaurd thats in front ofmy windshield wipers....the big plastic one that goes in front of the whole windshield. It also appears as if my front passenger side may touch the quarter panel when it closes. I cannot get it closed though because it hits that plastic gaurd. Anybody else deal with these people or have this problem on aftermarket hoods. Any ideas other than using a dremel to cut out the back so it will close??

This is making me crazy....if I close the hood, as close as it gets without fully closing because it wont...lookign at it from the front the right side only has 1/16 inch gap between the hood and fender and it kinda rubs, but at the front corner theres a 1/2 in gap...on the left side its a nice smooth 1/8 in gap but in the front left corner it over laps. So it seems taht my hood is over too far to the right, but over laps on the left. I am baffled at how this is working...

mine had a simillar problem and when I got it painted it had to be shaved in order to properly open and close...it's unfortunate but reality when you buy an after market hood.
