Need opinion..

I JUST bought a 87 Z28. its not much to look at but its fast. Of course for the hell of it i went and looked at a 94 Z28 Convertible I had seen before. Has a new engine still under warantee, other than cosmetic stuff, 6th gear is gone. they only want $2000 because they want to move the car ASAP. Am I stupid to not sell my current car for $2000 and buy the 94?

I would definately go for the '94. Getting the trans rebuilt is not the end of the world, and it's a huge upgrade from the '87.

I also concurr

Theres just so much more potential with the 94, even with a bum sixth gear. I recently picked up my 95 T/A and i think thats the best decision ive ever made. The first performance vehicle i owned was my 68 chevy P/U. I wanted a performer so i built a 400 SBC motor for it and did it all lo-tek. a performer but not as nice to run around in as my T/A with leather and A/C and all the power goodies. The LT1 in my opinion is the best engine ever made and its so easy to extract high levels of power, reliability, and even retain some economy thanks to EFI. Certainly much better than the 10 MPG best i got with my old truck.
