Well On this one the thing is the coolant temp was a brand new one and one of the "better" parts store brands. Thats why I asked about the harness. Thanks for the response man.

So you think it is prob. a break in the connection somewhere in the harness?? I run those wires back to the PCM id imagine? Any tips, tricks, or things I should look at before hand with this one? Car should be out of the Alignment shop tomm and back on datamaster I ended up purchasing it today. Any info is always useful thanks injuneer!

Key on, connector off the CTS (or IAT), measure the voltage to ground on the pins in the harness connector. The black wire is ground, so measured to ground, should be 0V. The other wire supplies 5V, when measured to ground. The voltage will vary with the resistance when the connector is reattached to the sensor. At 180*F you might see 3.2V across the two harness pins. At 75*F, you might see around 1.7V.

I moved your "alignment/suspension" post to a new thread, in the "Suspension......" forum.

I got the starter in first two times it wouldnt turn the engine over just made a locked up noise. I turned the engine with a breaker bar a few times. And then tried it again shot out prob 2 1/2 gallons of water between the two sides of pipes. Thanks Injuneer for the recommendation it turned over the engine very strong. I even got to adjust it for it to clear the block haha

As well I put the car on the datamaster (fist time since i bought it) The 02 sensor is reading great, no knock retard...buuuuut the IAT sensor is still not reading. So im going to check on that the way you said to Injuneer.

I also wanted to ask about the engine coolant temp isnt moving I replaced the one on the water pump housing and still has no reading, so Im going to check into that one too. It is pretty much the same procedure correct? As well I remm seeing voltage readings from both of these harnesses...Ill double check but what else would cause voltage in harness but no reading showing through the data stream?? I dont imagine both sensors were duds??

The sensor in the water pump is for the pcm. if your gauge isn't working then suspect the sensor in the drivers side head.

The dash is working, its the PCM one thats kinda ticking me off because I had bought it brand new. What is the #'s of pressure when tightning this one? Maybe I iver did it and broke it. Thanks for the clarification man

Just closing this thread off with an answer to my problem, just in case someone else ever needs it. The harness' on the inside needed the passages slightly crimped with some needle nose pliers to make contact with the pins on the sensors.

Both sensors now read okay, in all it was a problem with the harness openings being too wide for whatever reason.

Where can you buy the one wire pigtail for that ? I broke mine . it's a single green wire.
