Need new Opti Spark??
Ok, my car was sputtering for about 2-3 weeks and kinda bogging out a lil bit.. acceleration was really weak... Air Filters/Gas Filters are probally dirty also, well they are actually.. but neways i went too the Chevy Dealer too see what was actually wrong with it, and they gave me back a report saying that i needed an Opti Spark Distributer replacement... and they said dats gonna cost 1,1+++ dollars....
ok, but my question too you all is.. "CAN I BUY A USED OPTI SPARK??"or do i need to buy a new one? is it a good idea to buy a used one?? i didnt think it was, but i didnt know neither. so im asking u guys...

Re: Need new Opti Spark??
You aren't going to find a non-vented opti for his '94 for that price. The best I have seen is low $3xx for a non-vented opti from Dal or Jason.

He works at a dealership parts department in Ohio, and you will get great prices and fair shipping.
Most of the $1000+ cost was labor, if you are comfortable pulling the water pump and draining the radiator, do it yourself and save a good $600-700. There are plenty of how-to's on the net to help you get it right the first time.

Cant beat this price. Pretty sure it's the whole opti may want to check.
Definately buy the opti yourself. The dealership will charge u much more. If the fuel filter has not been change for a long time, that could be causing alot of the bogging, try just changing that first and see how it runs.
ps. find a good mechanic the stealership will take all ur money.
