Need more traction

I have stock suspension on my car with the stock Goodyear tires and 275 40 17 wheels. I have a 383 Stroker with cam and Stage 3 heads. Since I have replaced my shortys with my Hooker LTs (this week) I can no longer get any traction in 1st gear. I am getting an awesome amount of torque with my car ( I already had some serious torque).

It doesn't matter if it is from a stop or already rolling along, if I mash the pedal the tires light up and the back end gets real light and loose. 1st gear is just crazy. It is instant redline. Awesome feeling but want that power to hook up better.

What can I do to help me hook up better? I don't want to buy new tires yet because these are almost brand new. I am getting sub frame connectors put on soon and would like to buy some other performance stuff to help me underneath the car.

Which items will help me? I was thinking about Lower control arms and a pan hard bar. Any suggestions and which brands would you use.

Thanks

Switch to DR's and you may see a considerable difference.

Some LCA's with relocation brackets should help. But some Nitto DR's would be great too.

Just tires won't help you....Eibach drag launch kit and the control arms w/ relocation brackets and tires (preferably not Nitto if your luck is like mine).

Get LCA, relocation brackets, tires, and maybe even a torque arm with -2 or so degrees. Tires are the most important though...
