need info on timing gears

I've been thinking of running a timing gear set when I install my cc306 cam. I'm thinking that timing gears will be stronger, last longer and be more dependable.

The drawback is that I will have to disable my knock sensor, correct? What would be the drawback of a disabled knock sensor on a daily driven car?

Re: need info on timing gears

Not really a good idea on a daily driver, IMO. Gear drive sets are way noisy. There are plenty of strong chain sets that should work for you.
