Arrow Need help with uninstalling an alarm system...

The 93 I bought this summer has a terribly installed alarm system, or at least remains of it.
What I could find:
the alarm horn with wires cut from it.
the hood sensor with wires cut.
two wires - a ground and a positive coming from the red junction box and the passenger side ground and going inside on the driver side. (I disconnected these after the engine swap)
inside, underneath the dash, I could find an audiovox shock sensor (with the LED still blinking sometimes as of right now), another sensor underneath the console, and an Avital remote start box.
The wiring underneath there is a complete mess, but I could not find an alarm brain box. Considering some of the wires under the hood are cut, is it safe to assume someone just took the box out? In which case why would they leave the remote start box and sensors in there??
What's the easiest way to get rid of this stuff? I have a couple of problems I'm trying to troubleshoot and I think they might be related to the wiring mess. One, my power locks don't work and second, fog lights don't work.
Any ideas?
Thanks!

Hey Ion,
Want me to come over and take a look some time this week? I know the wiring under the dash REAL good! I have had about 25 dash boards out of Camaro's and Trans ams due to Air bag deployment from collisions. I can help ya take out the alarm.
